Steve Trapani is an Instructor of Trombone at CSU Long Beach and has the bass trombone position with the Oakland Symphony.

Active as a studio musician, Steve can be heard playing bass trombone, as well as tenor trombone, contrabass trombone, and tuba on numerous soundtracks of movies, television, and video games, including: Sonic The Hedgehog, Picard, Deadpool, Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Men Tell No Tales, Deadpool, Pacific Rim, The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad,  Agents of Shield, Agent Carter, League of Legends, and World of Warcraft. 

Steve is a regular sub with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Pacific Symphony, Long Beach Symphony, and Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and has played with the Hawaii Symphony, the Seattle Symphony, San Diego Symphony, San Francisco Symphony, Opera, and Ballet.

Steve is also a member of the “Freeway Philharmonic” and works with most of California’s regional orchestras. In addition to Steve’s performing work, he is a lifelong tinkerer, and runs a 3D printing business out of his garage, Trapani Mutes, which prints mutes for brass instruments.
